Create Your own designs with the wonderful computerized quilting system by TinLizzie18.

Posted by on December 2, 2010

This simple process saves tons of freehand motion time while still delivering your own customized patterns. Start by going to your Computerized Screen press the Free Motion option, the screen will display a start and stop button. When you press the start  you will begin to either trace your already quilted designs or start to quilt your design. Now you’re one of a kind pattern has been quilted we will press the stop  and then the save .  At this time a screen will display a keyboard allowing you to name your pattern. Once the pattern has been named it will be added to your patterns. Check out one of our many customized patterns.   The TinLizzie18 Team

My SS is out of Sync again. I was quilting and had to stop in the middle of my pattern I thought I’d just leave it on and get back to quickly but didn’t. When I tried to restart the screen was locked up so I restarted no it’s out of calibration and I can’t recalibrate, any suggestions. Thanks

I would like to get the latest SSII update. I was told last year that there is an update available but never received it. My SSII info is: Operating system: Chester
    File System: Denver
    Version 3.04
    SN: SBC000094
    Firmware: 3.03
    Software Firmware: N.C.

    Thanks Jackie

  3. Sabrina, Just wanted to let you and users know that 5D Quilt Creator software (get from a Pfaff or Viking dealer) will import/open/save .qcc files from your QuiltMotion or SSII design files. I just tried on mine and works great.

I have a problem with the stitching out of the designs from the shirley stitcher, part of the pattern runs across another part of the pattern, so I end up with a ‘squashed design’. I have tried several designs with the same result. My quilt now looks like a crochet quilt from all the unpicking. My nearest dealer is 3 States away.Hope you can offer a suggestion to try and fix this, I have a tin lizzie which is working fine. Joanna ,Australia.

I there a update for the ssII and where can I get it?? The version I have is 2.09. Please help me if you can.

    • sabrina says:

Connie, In order to send you the latest update for the Shirley Stitcher, I need to know what Touch Tone Remote and version that’s currently installed on your system.
To measure the touch tone screen, please measure from the upper left to the lower right. If it is 5 3/4 inches then it’s a 5 inch and if it measures 6 3/4 inches, then it’s a 7 inch.

Next, when you Shirley Stitcher is booting up, on the screen, does it show “Operated by Chester” or “Powered by Butler”. Next, after you system has booted up and you loaded a pattern, go to the Home icon and select Setup from the menu. Then select the System Information Icon and then list everything that’s appears in that

  9. One of the members to the TLL group is being told by a digitizer that she can’t load her qli design because she needs the software for her SS to be updated…is that correct? Is there an update for the SS software? If so, where can it be found? I’d like to have the info for others who may ask.
Thanks…you all are doing a great job here, just thought you might like to know that.

  10. Della Webb says:

Is there a way to stitch across the top and sides of the quilt with Shirley Stitcher without having to do it manually?

  11. This is called “Record” on the Qbot…do you have to actually stitch the design on the SSII, or can you trace over the design to record the movement of the machine?
